Memory Lane – Biltmore

My Sister and my nephew arrived late on a Wednesday night.  We grabbed them some drive thru and headed to bed.  We were up early the next morning, got in the car and drove to Asheville.  Our first stop on Memory Lane was Biltmore Estate.

Biltmore actually has no significance to our childhood memories whatsoever.  However, it was a convenient place to stop on our way to KY.  Made even sweeter by the fact that they currently have a Dale Chihuly exhibit going on in the gardens of the Estate.

It was a nice way to kick off the tour, and although not a place from our past, it was definitely the kind of side trip that my Mother and Father would have taken and something that I know my artistic Mother would have loved.
