PPE Ride At Southern Eighths

We are home from our big adventure!

It was definitely not our smoothest trip; pouring rain, a truck indicator light, a forgotten winter coat, a delayed arrival, a missed ride time, Tucker melting down in the cross country field, apprehension about going and riding with strangers, Tucker’s inability to stand still while waiting for others during the obstacle challenge and a foreign object in my eye all had me questioning why I thought this event was ever a good idea.

It was also definitely an AMAZING experience; new friends who put me at ease the moment I pulled up, lots of time in the saddle, a beautiful venue to ride through, laughter on the trails, fun rides that included games and challenges and went beyond the typical trail ride, riding with people who had a real sense of “play” about them, shared meals and most important…time outside with my favorite pony.
