I don’t actually think this image is ugly, however, the old dead log laying off in the woods certainly was. It wasn’t until after looking at it a moment that I was able to find some beauty. It’s all in the perspective I guess.

Reminds me of looking for the driftwood. May look old and ugly to many, but find the right piece and you will be the envy of your neighbors. 😉

I think it’s the action of falling / chopping / dying that gives the thoughts of ugly. The wood itself has beautiful colours and textures.
