The Changing Seasons – April 2021

As I look back through my images to put together my Changing Seasons post for the month I realize I’ve only had the camera out a couple of times.

The first outing was a trip to the zoo with friends. It had been a long time since I’d gone to the zoo with other people. I usually visit solo so I can go slow and spend as much time as I want at each exhibit getting just the right shot. This time was especially fun as we had kids in the group and it was really cool to experience the zoo through their eyes.

I also photographed a fundraiser for our local horse rescue group. The event was held at a cool venue that has a cross country jumping field, multiple riding arenas, obstacle course, ponds and just lots of fun different things to do with your horse. To add to the fun the rescue group hides stuffed animals all over the venue for participants find in order to win prizes. It was a beautiful day and a fun group of riders.

The rest of my month was spent gearing up for my backpacking trip which you can read all about HERE but here is one more picture from the trip, because seriously….there can never be enough.

  1. You’ve got me thinking about how long it’s been since I went to the zoo with children. After all the school trips I dad as a parent helper, I was glad to go child-free for a long time, but kids do have such a different perspective, and that is fun to share.
